ABOUT US
HELPING THE COMMUNITY
It is our mission to serve the vulnerable children of Uganda, Africa and their families through educational services and community outreach. We have started in the small village of Lulumbu in the Mpigi District of Uganda. Here we are having children sponsored to attend school, some for the very first time. The school meets more than the academic needs of the children, they also provide for their physical needs with nutritious meals, safe drinking water and a safe enviornment.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our organization strives to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the vulnerable in Uganda, Africa, sharing Christ’s love through our actions within the community. We are a certified Community Based Organization in the Mpigi District with a local presence yet supported by long-range partners.
With the help of the community chairman and a local pastor, we have identified 25 of the most vulnerable children in the village of Lulumbu and we are working to get all of them sponsored to attend school. We have partnered with a nearby, quality school and currently have 19 children sponsored and actively attending school (See our Gallery page for pictures of the children at school).
INDIVIDUALIZED CARE
Every person we reach out to receives our personalized approach, ensuring that they feel valued and supported. Our Ugandan team members visit the school regularly, checking on the well-being of the children and reporting to their parents as well as our organization. We believe in the power of personal connections and strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Our local people as well as our volunteer missionaries are dedicated to the vulnerable people we serve.
Our Story

Touch A Heart Now began through a series of unexpected, God-ordained moments that unfolded during a mission trip to Uganda, Africa in January of 2023. While traveling with my mission team to church, I met my future wife, Irene, when the pastor who was driving us to church stopped to pick her up along the way. That morning she served as my interpreter, and what started as a simple introduction quickly grew into a deeper connection. After that first encounter, I returned to Uganda several times throughout 2023 and 2024, spending much of my time in the small village of Lulumbu in the Mpigi District, where I witnessed firsthand the lack of quality education opportunities for many children. Irene had always carried a vision of giving back to country, and as our relationship grew--leading to our engagement in April 2024, her and her son Arthur's move to the United States on a fiance visa, and our marriage in January, 2025--we felt God calling us to act. Seeing the need and sharing the same heart to serve, we knew we would start on this journey together, and through God's mercy and grace, Touch A Heart Now was born to provide education support, and hope to vulnerable children and families in the community we had come to love.
